Move over Hollywood, there’s a new celebrity makeup artist in town, and her name is Samantha J Stout. After 15 years of experience in the makeup and skincare industry, Samantha has ventured away from the big apple to start her own studio in her hometown of Astoria, Queens. At Samantha J. Stout Aesthetics, Samantha offers high-end facials treatments, facials waxing services, makeup applications, and retails luxury skincare products to custom create a skin routine that’s unique to you and your skin. Here at GMA, we sat down with Samantha to learn all about her new studio and how she honed her craft.

GMA: How did you get started in this industry?

SJS: “I’ve been doing makeup since I was 17,” explains Samantha. I started out doing freelance work for fashion campaigns and music videos and eventually got my aesthetician license and started working in high-end spas like Caudalie Vinotherapie Spa, Rescue Spa, as an educator for Heyday Skincare. Plus, doing private consultations with the likes of Martha Stewart, Alexander Wang, Peyton List, Hilary Rhoda, and Johnny Weir. Until finally, I decided to create my own studio to help everyday women transform their skin too.

GMA: What is your approach to skincare?

SJS: “Efficacy,” says Samantha. Using science-backed skincare ingredients that produce results. That’s why I offer consultations as a service. I wanted to get people in the door and start a discussion about ways people can transform their skin. There is no “one size fits all” when it comes to our skin’s biology and facial anatomy. Every client I see is treated as an individual that is celebrated, with their own needs and concerns that are honored. My purpose is to guide each client through the practice of beauty and self-care tailored specifically for them.

GMA: What kind of treatments do you offer at your new studio?
SJS: In addition to skincare consultations, I offer a wide variety of non-invasive procedures such as microdermabrasion, micro-currents to help tighten the skin, LED therapy, oxygen therapy, waxing, makeup applications, wedding makeup and more. The skin is the roof of our house and deserves just as much maintenance on the outside as you put into it on the inside. Through combining my experience, passion for science, and love for beauty, I’m excited to help women create a ritual that works for them and their skincare needs. As a born and raised New Yorker, I am so honored to be back in my hometown providing the community with all things beauty.
