The Grand and The Pomeroy were among 12 NYC bars that have lost liquor licenses after not following COVID-19 mandated guidance.

The New York State Liquor Authority announced the decision, citing numerous violations at each establishment. The Grand was open past the 11PM, the official closing time for city bars and restaurants participating in the open restaurants program. Additional offenses include maskless customers outside, one customer drinking inside, and an employee not wearing any sort of face covering.

At The Pomeroy, over a dozen patrons were found congregating outside, after a previous finding where employees did not have facial coverings and tables were not properly spaced apart.
