According to officials, a fire broke out on the second floor of 31-18 35th St, near 31st Avenue, at about 11:15 a.m Wednesday.  The apartment which was engulfed in flames was said to have started under suspicious circumstances, which DNAinfo reported may have begun due to a feud between landlord and tenant. 

Three people were injured due to the fire and a family escaped the flames while around 100 firefighters battled for an hour before the fire was under control. 

The injured were quickly treated at the scene.
