Hair salons seem to be a dime-a-dozen here in our slice of Astoria. It’s a competitive and overwhelming world out there and we must stay ahead of the cusps of looking great because if we don’t, someone else will.

Often times to seek great quality we must venture down the road less traveled…come on into Rush Hair Studio, subtly tucked away just off Broadway ave and 37^th street.

The owner Boyana V. is a native of Serbia but a New Yorker for over 13 years, many of which she resided in Manhattan and right here in Astoria.

Boyana is quite the master of her craft, starting her studies at the non-jaded age of 16 in Serbia. Always curious and wanting to get out of her comfort zone, she later traveled to Cyprus, London, Dubai and finally New York to experience the world and broaden her skill-set.

With over 20 years of experience, Boyana clearly is passionate about her choices, and isn’t slowing down, as she’s planning on opening another salon within the next 5 years.

We’re excited to have her and Rush as a part of our diverse community and we’ll be on the look-out to see how she’ll add to the climate that is Astoria.
