Raising Astoria, the children’s educational center located at 26-11 23rd AveGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028., is closing permanentlyGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028. The center’s closure was announced yesterday by its owners via emailGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.

The driving factor behind Raising Astoria’s closure was the financial uncertainty of COVID-19, along with high commercial rent and not knowing when public schools will reopenGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028. Raising Astoria was established in 2012 and was used not only as a children’s educational center, but a venue space and support center for parentsGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.

All items from Raising Astoria will on sale beginning July 28th through July 31st, and include school supplies, children’s toys, puzzles, paint, floor tiles, and moreGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028. Times for the sale are 10AM-12PM and 2-5PM this Tuesday through FridayGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
