Raising Astoria Permanently Closing

Raising Astoria, the children’s educational center located at 26-11 23rd Ave., is closing permanently. The center’s closure was announced yesterday by its owners via email.
The driving factor behind Raising Astoria’s closure was the financial uncertainty of COVID-19, along with high commercial rent and not knowing when public schools will reopen. Raising Astoria was established in 2012 and was used not only as a children’s educational center, but a venue space and support center for parents.
All items from Raising Astoria will on sale beginning July 28th through July 31st, and include school supplies, children’s toys, puzzles, paint, floor tiles, and more. Times for the sale are 10AM-12PM and 2-5PM this Tuesday through Friday.
Give Me Astoria would like to wish Raising Astoria and its staff the best of luck going forward and a big thank you for all of the support and insight the center has shared with our Astoria community!
