After over 20 years in business Monika’s Cafe-Bar, located at 32-90 36th St., is closing. Monika’s team announced the difficult decision to shut down on social media.

The bar/restaurant has been closed since March 15th, when city restaurants were shut in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Because of the extended closure, Monika’s took an especially hard hit financially as has been the case with dozens of restaurants throughout the city.

Before its permanent closure, Monika’s will host a small sale to send off patrons with a piece of the Astoria establishment. Give Me Astoria would like to wish the team behind Monika’s Cafe-Bar the best of luck going forward.
