Reports of shootings have been popping up more often in the neighborhood, and it looks like this one is in further into the heart of the neighborhood.

 

 

Around 5:00 a.m last Saturday, residents were awoken to the sound of gunfire in the quiet area around 24th Street and Hoyt Avenue.
A door frame and nearby window were hit – but thankfully there were no injuries reported from the shooting. Police reports indicate that nearby a a baseball hat, and 40-caliber casing were found.

 

There are no reports yet on the motive for the shooting.
