The MTA is making big changes for train service…but some of those changes might not be great for us Astorians.

 

The Q line will be diverted next December to serve the East Side, and as of now there’s no clear answer of whether more Q trains will be allotted for Astoria. That means the already jam packed platforms might be stuck with just an N train – creating even longer commutes, waits, and delays.

 

We are slightly in shock of this news. Over the past few months, we’ve had countless problems with Astorians adding hours to the morning commute because of train problems – what we need in the neighborhood is more trains – not less.

 

We’re waiting to see what happens next.
