The Queens Council of the Arts is bringing a block party to Astoria!

This will be an Astoria style block party with internationally known Queens based artists, musicians from Make Music New York, a BBQ throwdown from local restaurants and an evening film screening under the stars. This exciting event will kick off an eclectic calendar of upcoming arts events that will attract visitors, tourists, and arts lovers to Astoria.

The QCA Block party, the fourth Moveable Feast Artist Dinner event of QCA, is a fundraiser to support the High School to Art School Portfolio Program (HS2AS). The High School to Art School program is a free portfolio development program aimed at developing and fostering an in-depth understanding of art, while guiding NYC high school students through the art college application process. Kaufman Arts District will launch in a new season to advance and promote the Astoria area anchored by Kaufman Astoria Studios and surrounding cultural institutions including Queens Council on the Arts and The Museum of the Moving Image. Public support comes from Queensborough President Melinda Katz and NYC Councilmember Jimmy Van Bramer, 26th District.

Admission is $35 and you can RSVP here!
