The Best New Restaurants To Try This Month

Meet the New Neighbors

Who’s moving into the neighborhood this month? Here is the latest scoop for your next dining experience, whether you love a casual ambiance, a classic Italian joint, or something slightly more minimalistic and healthy, this is for you!

Eat Well With Danielle

What started as a quarantine hobby quickly turned into a passion for healthy baking—full-time. Recently, Danielle Schnapp partnered with fellow entrepreneur Kayli Kunkel, the owner of the zero-waste shop Earth and Me, to create her own cafe selling baked goods, the healthy way. All of Danielle’s products are gluten and dairy-free, with a few vegan options as well.

Sala

An unpretentious favorite since 1999 has found a new location: the World Artisan Market (WAM). This Spanish tapas restaurant is as authentic as it gets. With dishes inspired from all the different regions of Spain, patrons can expect to find classic recipes such as Paella, Garlic Shrimp, Lentils with Chorizo, and Patatas Bravas. Barbara Amoros, a Spanish Top Chef contestant, will bring in new ideas, including a highly anticipated dish called Coca, an Andalusian
flatbread topped with roasted red peppers and spinach. We can’t wait to try the food, explore the new lounge, and experience weekly flamenco dancing (come spring)—mark your calendar!

Cornicello

If you need a break from cooking, look no further than this new Italian restaurant serving fresh house-made pasta and an impressive selection of natural wines. Farfalle Pesto Genovese or Baked Penne Ziti a la Vodka, which are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, is soon to be your next go-to meal come date night. It’s a classic, Instagram-free restaurant that’s perfect for those looking for authentic recipes with modern Italian charm.

Unicorn Coffee Company

This coffee shop is, in one word—magical. The owners used to work in construction and decided to create a welcoming space with an inviting communal cafe that offers lots of delectable treats. No visit to the Unicorn coffee shop would be complete without trying the chocolate croissant or one of their signature macaroons, which goes well with a traditional espresso or cappuccino. Talk about a magical experience!

Beso NYC

A Hookah bar with traditional and tasty Puerto Rican dishes on the menu? What’s not to love! Be sure to try the shrimp salad (they don’t skimp on the shrimp seafood lovers), which pairs nicely with their newly added, refreshing Peach sangria. Finally, you can’t leave without tasting one of their colorful sour patch shots. It’s the best way to end a fun afternoon that’s sweet—and perhaps a little bit sour.

Krispy Kreme

This is an oldie, but goodie! Founded in 1937, it quickly became one of America’s sweethearts for donuts, and we’re digging the fact that one just opened at a former Starbucks location. Try the cake batter donut with colorful sprinkles or, if you’re in the mood for something seasonal, try the apple cider donut with brown sugar and creme filling! It’s so good.
