It’s Time to Fiesta!
The Best Places to Celebrate Mexican Heritage on Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo is almost here and it’s time to plan your feast. What better way to share your enthusiasm and love for Mexican tradition than indulging in their spicy and flavorful cuisine?
Cinco de Mayo is a recognition of Mexico’s victory over the French in 1862, at the famous battleground of Puebla. This historical event has turned into an enormous celebration over the years, honoring this significant accomplishment and the Mexican heritage in the United States. So, let’s go get some margaritas and tacos, shall we?
Fresco’s Cantina
Fresco’s has an amazing Taco Tuesday special, which is the ideal excuse to try their Chicken Parm tacos, topped with a delicious marinara sauce and gooey cheese: an Italian twist that works wonders. Or, opt for the lighter fish tacos which are equally delicious. Do you really need any more reasons to visit? I think not!

El Mero Mero
This place knows how to make a mean Pina Colada! In addition, their Elotes de Feria (steamed corn topped with chili powder, mayonnaise and Cotija cheese) is the perfect appetizer to enjoy while waiting for your tasty enchiladas to arrive. To (literally) top it all off: all dishes are adorned with a flower on top! A meal for the eyes and the stomach.

Tacuba Cantina Mexicana
You’ve got to try the guacamole at Tacuba which they put their own twist on and you can opt to pair with their Chapulines, more commonly known as grasshoppers! You heard that right.
