George’s at Kaufman Astoria Studios officially closed its doors on Friday, May 31st. The restaurant, formerly known as The Astor Room, has been a go-to for brunches, dinners, and a jazz music lovers in the Astoria/LIC area for years.
Known for its wide-ranging menu and frequent live music, the restaurant quickly became a neighborhood gem. George’s at Kaufman Astoria Studios was aptly named after theater & film powerhouse, George S. Kaufman, and was officially opened over a year ago.
