Sal, Kris and Charlies Deli

Nestled between 23rd Avenue and 35th Street sits another Astoria classic, Sal Kris & Charlie’s Deli. This spot is the epitome of a classic Italian deli. While they offer a wide variety of sandwiches, their “The Bomb” sandwich is a fan favorite, with a whopping 18 ingredients! The sandwich includes pretty much every meat you could imagine, combining their Italian and American sandwich combinations. Yet another great spot is George’s Deli, found on the corner of 28th Ave. Staying classic and consistent, with them being open 24 hours to always provide customers with the opportunity for a midnight bite. Rosario’s

This final deli doesn’t just stop at sandwiches—Rosario’s, located just off the Astoria-Ditmars N|W train, also serves a delicious array of pizza. It even says so on the awning: “Providing A Delicious Variety of Your Favorite Foods.” They’re not wrong. This spot has long been a staple for the people of Astoria.
