Much like the final entry on this list, Bel Aire Diner isn’t technically a 24-hour establishment. But, considering the fact that they open at 5am everyday and then only close for a brief three hour period at 2am mixed with the fact that they have been an Astoria staple for over 55 years, it felt like they earned the right to be included. Bel Aire has been a longstanding fixture in the community and remains a go-to spot for many local Astorians.

Neighborhood residents in the know are probably already aware that Bel Aire received some help from Gordon Ramsey back in 2023, which has only brought more attention to the classic establishment. It should be noted that Bel Aire offers a free kids meal with the purchase of a regular adult meal seven days a week, making it the perfect spot for your next family outing.

Omonia Cafe

Similar to Bel Aire, Omonia Cafe isn’t technically open 24/7, but they are operational from 6am to 2am everyday. Constructed as an homage to the European style cafes that founder John Arvantis was missing when he immigrated to NYC from Greece at just 19 years old, it is hard to deny that Omonia Cafe has the look and feel of a classic diner, just with a Greek flare.

Featuring a robust menu, Omonia is an excellent choice for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, or a late night meal. And their bakery which resides right next to the cafe and offers both traditional and modern pastries has become a favorite of many Astorians who are frequently craving something sweet. If you are looking for that classic diner feel, with a little bit more of a European style menu, Omonia is the place for you.
