WAM Food Hall
THE WORLD ARTISAN MARKET
Astoria’s Food Scene Never Ceases to Amaze
The sense of community within Astoria proves to be a force to be reckoned with once again with the World Artisan Market, located at the conjunction of Kaufman Astoria Creative District, Dutch Kills LIC and the Sunnyside Yards. As restaurants, bars and cafes alike begin to resurrect after the pandemic, “WAM has emerged as a place for creative restauranteurs and entertainment venues to reinvent, reopen, and collaborate together to create a diverse destination.”
And “diverse” is right; WAM is excited to be home to quite the variety of restaurants, including Sotto la Luna with its authentic Italian, Sala with its Spanish tapas bar, Yamata Noodle Company featuring Japanese dishes, Elevenses offering a European/Scandinavian café vibe and Potlus Kitchen, which encompasses meals ranging from Chinese, to Ramen, to Japanese crepes, to seafood heaven.
What really separates this food hall from its competitors is its prime location, which is centered in the heart of an “already vibrant office, studio, tech, education, creative, and residential community.”
WAM will offer both indoor and outdoor dining to patrons just in time for our transition to summer, with its official debut coming in May 2021. So keep an eye out on our neighborhood’s latest project that aims to “highlight the diversity, creativity, and resilience of NYC and the amazing cuisines it provides.”
