City Council Member and Queens Borough President nominee Costa Constantinides took to social media to announce he has been in self-quarantine since Sunday. Upon developing a fever, the Council Member immediately made the decision to self-isolate, and has experienced mild symptoms of COVID-19 since.

Despite his symptoms mirroring those of COVID-19, Council Member Constantinides did not get tested; citing advice from medical professionals. Fortunately, the Council Member’s condition is improving. However, he warned his followers “… trust me, this is not something you want. Even for the healthy among us, it can wear you down. Sleep is incredibly difficult on top of it. You’re equally fearful and frustrated. I’ve tried to continue my job and work with my staff to make sure those who need care get it.”

Council Member Constantinides continues to self-isolate and work from home. He urged his followers to stay home, wash their hands, and keep a safe social distance when necessary to go out.
