Public workshop on the BQX Streetcar happening tonight in Astoria!

The first of a series of public workshops held in Queens on the upcoming Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX) Streetcar will take place tonight from 6:30PM-8:30PM at the Museum of the Moving Image.

The proposed project is estimated to cost approximately $2.7 billion, and city officials are holding the public workshop tonight to update residents on planning done thus far, as well as the next steps.

The proposed BQX Streetcar would run from Astoria to Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and is expected to be an emissions-free, 11-mile route, connecting to 13 subway lines, over 30 bus routes, multiple NYC Ferry stops, and hundreds of Citi Bike Stations.
