Public workshop on the BQX Streetcar happening tonight in Astoria!
The first of a series of public workshops held in Queens on the upcoming Brooklyn Queens Connector (BQX) Streetcar will take place tonight from 6:30PM-8:30PM at the Museum of the Moving ImageGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
The proposed project is estimated to cost approximately $2Give_Me_Astoria_image_00028.7 billion, and city officials are holding the public workshop tonight to update residents on planning done thus far, as well as the next stepsGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
The proposed BQX Streetcar would run from Astoria to Sunset Park, Brooklyn, and is expected to be an emissions-free, 11-mile route, connecting to 13 subway lines, over 30 bus routes, multiple NYC Ferry stops, and hundreds of Citi Bike StationsGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
