Jimmy Van Bramer drops out of Queens Borough President election
New York City Council Member Jimmy Van Bramer announced he is no longer in the running for Queens Borough President, citing personal reasons.
The Council Member confirmed the news in a tweet released this morning, writing: “Prioritizing my responsibilities as a son and a brother is where my attention needs to be right now. While this is a difficult decision, this is the right one for me and my family at this time.”
Council Member Van Bramer also thanked his numerous supporters, donors, and volunteers throughout the course of his campaign for Borough President, assuring his supporters that he will “continue to fight for the working people of our borough and city everyday in the New York City Council and beyond.”
