Rocking It At Rudy’s Hobby & Arts Shop

The shop was once an ice cream parlor before turning into a place for hobbies and odd little knick-knacks.

Housing everything from planes, trains and automobiles, it’s full of character and Astoria history. Nestled along three-story brick buildings on 30th Avenue, Rudy’s is a fighting figurine among the wine bars, restaurants and bakeries that have made 30th Ave into one of Astoria’s most popular streets.

We have Jason Guzman to thank for keeping New Yorkers aware of the quaint little shop that’s been gracing Astoria for decades. The short film is A Flywheel Film production, with the help of Lindsay Blatt and Phil Sachs.

So sit back and enjoy a true Astoria character.
