What Are You Thankful For?

With only a few days to go, the holiday season will be ushered in by Thanksgiving on the 26th, the collegians will be flocking back and swarms of friends and family will be popping in unexpectedly to spread a little holiday cheer. We can’t blame them because after all -‘tis the season and family like most things are great in small doses.

The weather is still pleasant out so let’s capitalize on it:

The night before Thanksgiving is synonymous with catching up with old friends and crushes as a lot of us are back in the neighborhoods we grew up in and we flock to the local watering hole for an informal High School reunion. Reunite with the squad over at Déjà Vu (33-22 28th Ave) for Mediterranean fare, drinks and hookah on Wednesday for happy hour from 6-10pm – $4 any beer, $5 any wine, $6 any drink and $7 any hookah.

For turkey day, fill up on everything, as home cooking won’t last too long and you’ll soon be back to your Seamless routine. Catch up with the family and take in the parade.

The day after – So, you’ve survived your family and slept off your food coma, a lot of your favorite retailers (not just in Astoria) will be partaking in the timeless art of shopping. Go forth and buy happiness!
