But, the non-profit Astoria Music & Arts won’t just be music and lights, the pet-friendly and eco-awareness focused group will also feature a pie-eating contest by Astor Bake Shop along with a dance party for families, sponsored by Little Club Heads, where children from 1 to 12 can boogie on down with their parents, along with dance tents featuring Sol Dance Center, a puppet show by Wonder Spark from Raising Astoria, and a giant Kaiju Big Battel monster.

The program is eager to support a variety of artistic groups and individuals from Astoria and Long Island City and will be holding the New World Queens Festival on Aug. 29th at Astoria Park.

Doris Cellar, director of operations for Astoria Music & Arts stated, “For over seven years, AM&A has brought music, art, dance, theatre, comedy and film to the Astoria community, and this summer at Astoria Park we will be throwing the greatest music and arts festival in Astoria.”
