A while back we talked about Portalia, an Italian restaurant serving up really great food. They prided themselves on having phenomenally authentic Italian food – so Italian in fact, that the Italian Chamber of Commerce presented Portalia with an award declaring that their food was 100%, completely, authentically Italian, after vigorous testing and inspection.

 

It looks like the owners of Portalia have decided to take it in a different direction, though. They recently shuttered their doors for renovation, according to this post on their Facebook page:

 

 

We gave them a call, and were told that the atmosphere is going to change, but the food will remain the same.

 

“We’re looking to make Portalia a little more affordable, a little more casual, and a little less intimidating!” co-owner Dayana tells us. They’ll be re-opening with a look that is less high dining, and a little more comfortable. We can’t wait!
