Ah, New Year’s Eve. Time for “New Year, New Me,” status’ to pop up all over Facebook, resolutions to be made, and lots of partying. If you don’t want to face the crowds in the city, stay right here in Astoria! We’ve got some of the celebrations that are going on in the neighborhood.

The Thirsty Koala, 35-12 Ditmars Blvd, Astoria NY 11105

Mhhh, one of our favorite restaurants. The Thirsty Koala is having a pre-fixe menu for just $40, but they’re also offering up their regular menu – which we like, because you don’t have to feel tied down to pre-fixe choices. They’re also having live Jazz music, which makes them the perfect mix of party and casual. This is one place we’ll definitely be stopping by.

Bourbon and Vine, 36-05 30th Avenue, Astoria, NY 11103

$60 for five drinks and a three course meal at this spot!

After the countdown to 2015 the tunes will be spinning and the drinks will be pouring all night as we wait for the New Year’s first Sunrise. Since we love the change of Years so much, on the 1st we open our doors for a late delicious Brunch, 1pm to 4pm, before we start serving dinner as usual…
