Walk In GYN Care is the first ever walk-in OB/GYN clinic, and is being touted as the future of women’s health, with an office in Manhattan and now its newly opened clinic in Astoria.

Walk In GYN offers something women rarely get and often need; a quick visit to an OB/GYN without the hassle of having to wait 4-6 weeks. 

Dr. Adeeti Gupta, a veteran OB/GYN with over 18 years experience, is the woman behind Walk in GYN.

Dr. Adeeti Gupta’s favorite thing about being a physician is being able to help women while providing a role model for those who feel dis-empowered. One of those dis-empowering moments every woman deals with at one point or another in their lives is the need to see a gynecologist, and being told there is a six week wait time and nothing they can do about it.

Regular checkups every woman should have yearly are often pushed back until they absolutely have to because they cannot get the time off. 

In October 2013, Dr. Gupta decided enough was enough. If her patients needed to see a doctor in an emergency, they should have access to one.

In November 2014, her vision became a reality with the first ever walk-in clinic for women’s health, Walk In GYN Care, which opened to great success in Manhattan at 200 West 57th Street, Suite 1104, New York, NY 10019. 

Walk In GYN Care provides women with access to quality care at a moment’s notice in a space designed just for them.

In April 2017, Dr. Gupta opened a second location in Astoria, a location Dr. Gupta says is up and coming, diverse and filled with young women.

The Astoria clinic at 28-18 Astoria Blvd, Astoria, NY 11102, is open 7 days a week with wait times of 5-15 minutes – not weeks.

With STD rates rising in the country, Dr. Gupta urges women of all ages to come in for a check up, and says that women should be getting yearly check ups to avoid HPV – cervical cancer , even if they only have 1 partner.

Even though guidelines suggest that PAP and STD checks should be conducted every 3 years, in the modern age of online dating, especially in New York, Dr. Gupta recommends yearly checks instead. As a patient, women will be reminded each year for their annual check ups and be treated with highest level of care and respect. 

The well-trained staff can handle an array of conditions such as: pelvic pain, painful sex, vaginal discharge, UTIs, irregular periods, allergies, abnormal pap smears, pregnancy, sexual transmitted diseases, birth control refills and more with a high level of senstivity.

Services offered at the walk-in clinic include

Pap smears, STD testing, on-site sonograms, birth control consultations (as well as emergency contraception), pregnancy evaluation, well woman packages and a breast-feeding support group.

Insurance is accepted however there are various payment plans for those who are not covered.

• Out of pocket payments are: $200 (consultation) + $80 (lab work)
• Full package PAP + STD + Ultra Sound = $650
