If you live in New York, you have to experience PS1 Saturdays at least once. They’re weekly summer events that re-appear each year bigger and better, full of music, mingling, and under the sun fun.

Warm Up admission is mandatory for entry into MoMA PS1 on Warm Up Saturdays

MoMA PS1 presents Warm Up 2015, beginning June 27 and taking place every Saturday this summer through September 5. A New York summer staple now in its 18th year, MoMA PS1’s highly anticipated Warm Up outdoor music series continues its tradition of introducing audiences to the best in experimental live music, sound, and DJs—both local and international—across a range of genres.Warm Up supports both established and emerging artists by creating a platform that allows for experimentation and providing a space for collaboration, new material, and side projects.

Warm Up is held in MoMA PS1’s courtyard, which this year will feature an installation by New York/Madrid architecture firm Andrés Jaque, Office for Political Innovation, COSMO, the winning design of the 16th annual Young Architects Program (YAP). M. Wells Dinette will be open for cocktails and will be serving grab-and-go summer fare in the courtyard for Warm Up Saturdays.

The series is programmed by a curatorial committee selected by the museum to represent a wide spectrum of expertise and experience in music, sound, and the performing arts, resulting in a unique lineup of artists that explore, interpret, and combine genres. Performers are selected by Klaus Biesenbach, Director, MoMA PS1, and Chief Curator at Large, The Museum of Modern Art; and organized by Margaret Knowles, Curatorial Assistant and Warm Up Producer, MoMA PS1. TheWarm Up 2015 curatorial committee includes Dean Bein, Head of True Panther Sounds; Jonathan Galkin, Co-Founder of DFA Records; Eliza Ryan; Brandon Stosuy, Managing Editor of Pitchfork; Imogene Strauss, of Cool Managers; Matt Werth, Label Head of RVNG Intl.

Warm Up will feature rotating stage environments by young, emerging design talent —including 69, Chen Chen & Kai Williams, Fort Makers, Fort Standard, The Principals, and Sit and Read—organized by Jocelyn Miller, Curatorial Associate, MoMA PS1.

Children ages 6 and older must have a ticket for entrance.
Become a MoMA PS1 Plus Member and enjoy discounted Warm Up tickets and other benefits.
Long Island City Residents with proof of residency in ZIP codes 11101–11109 receive one free ticket on a first-come, first-served basis, pending availability. Please note that a limited number of tickets are set aside for Long Island City Residents per Warm Up. Guests of LIC residents must purchase tickets.

Lineup is subject to change.
As Warm Up is a special event, MoMA PS1’s regular admission policy does not apply. Limited galleries are on view during Warm Up. All galleries close at 6:00pm.Warm Up is an outdoor event and takes place rain or shine.
There are no Group Visits or Tours on Warm Up Saturdays.
The following categories do not receive free admission to Warm Up: MoMA members, MoMA Corporate Members, MoMA Corporate Student Members, MoMA admission ticket holders, MoMA Annual Pass holders, staff of other museums, and members of the press who have not been authorized in advance.
Entry and re-entry are not permitted after 8:40 PM.
Outside food and alcohol are not permitted.
M. Wells Dinette is open for cocktails and grab-and-go food items from Noon–9 PM during Warm Up Saturdays. Event admission is required for entry.
Mandatory bag check occurs upon entry. MoMA PS1 reserves the right to decide what can be brought onto the premises.
