Stuff’d
Located in the heart of Astoria, right off the Broadway N/W, Stuff’d is a serious treat for your taste buds! You’ll enter through a speakeasy passageway which features a fully stocked bar. The main area also features six large-screen TVs, but if you’re not in the mood for sports/TV you can lounge on their chairs and enjoy their amazing food and cocktail menu. Stuff’d is a unique sandwich shop that has a lot to offer. Their menu features sandwiches, and of course, delicious burgers.
Make your way over to Stuff’d this March and get yourself the Give Me Astoria Burger Special. This special will be available daily through the whole month of March from 12 PM to 8 PM. They have ample heated booth seating outdoors and their interior is a perfect balance of cool and modern while maintaining their homey local bar vibes. Their happy hour is one of the best in Astoria. Available Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 7 PM you can indulge in their $10 Smashburger.

Calling all sports fans! Murphy’s Sports Bar is about a 15-minute walk away from the Ditmars N/W stop and is pure heaven for sports fans. Blackbird’s
Get off the 30th Ave N/W subway stop and make your way up towards 42nd Street to Blackbird’s. This relaxed neighborhood saloon features craft beers, bar bites, and theme-night specials. As Astoria becomes more popular, and more high-end bars and restaurants crop up, Blackbird’s offers Astorians a truly perfect neighborhood bar.
Their website states that Blackbird’s is “the realization of a dream to create a public home for the good people of Astoria.” This is something they’ve certainly achieved. For example, their “Pay it Forward” menu, where patrons can offer up acts of kindness to fellow Astorians. Just tell the bartender you’d like to pay $20 to cover a round of drinks for a fellow single mom or someone who had a bad day. They’ll put it up on the board for someone to claim she can claim, no questions asked. It’s a beautiful concept that really demonstrates the sense of kindness at Blackbird’s.
