The Grand and The Pomeroy were among 12 NYC bars that have lost liquor licenses after not following COVID-19 mandated guidanceGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
The New York State Liquor Authority announced the decision, citing numerous violations at each establishmentGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028. The Grand was open past the 11PM, the official closing time for city bars and restaurants participating in the open restaurants programGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028. At The Pomeroy, over a dozen patrons were found congregating outside, after a previous finding where employees did not have facial coverings and tables were not properly spaced apartGive_Me_Astoria_image_00028.
