You read that right. In accordance with the upswing of bigger-name department stores such as TJMaxx coming to the neighborhood, it appears that we soon may be getting some new additions: BJ’s Wholesale Club & Burlington Coat Factory are slated to open at 35-00 48^th St. The new stores will open in the space that was once the location for Toys R Us and National Wholesale Liquidators, which both closed last year.

As the Astoria Post exclusively reported, Community Board 1 has voted to grant the special permits needed for the stores to open.
