Mom’s Kitchen And Bar Is Now Open For Previews

Okay so you wanted to move out of the nest and try your luck in the big city, for some, it is still a work in progress, for others, it is a sad retreat back home but for the lucky few that “made it” through the commutes, shoebox apartments and Times Square, congratulations. Whether you started your journey with the clothes on your back or a U-Haul of memories, there is something that will never leave you – the scents and flavors of Mom’s home cooking.

A meal prepared by Mom is more than just a meal, it is an experience, a trip to simpler times that did not consist of take-out containers. The next time you are craving home cooking or simply miss your Mom, walk into Mom’s Kitchen and Bar on 33rd Street and 31st Avenue.  At the moment the restaurant does not have set hours but are doing previews every day starting at 5:00 PM each day with regular hours coming soon.

The menu is nothing shy of comfort, featuring All Day Brunch because who doesn’t love brunch? In the mood for something a bit more cheesy and fried? Give the Fried Cheese Curds a try, they’re beer-battered cheese curds fried and served with a spicy pepper jam ($10). How about a burger? Bite into the Big Daddy Brisket Burger and bask in the joys of taste country. Need something main-coursey? Loosen up your belt and get in on the Crispy Chicken and Gravy. Why? Because it’s a buttermilk-marinated chicken breast tossed in Mom’s secret seasoning , fried and served with peppercorn gravy. And when you’re filled to the gills, wash it all down with one of their Bigmouth Shakes.

Oh and one more thing, Mom called, she misses you, too!
