44 years and the lines are still there. Astoria's favorite souvlaki stop has been a staple of our community for a long time. Starting as a hot dog stand run by George Englezos in 1970, he quickly moved onto souvlaki, and began his signature special spice blend. 

Today, the stand is run by non other than Franky himself, and the special spice blend is still watering our mouths. 

But there's news on the horizon for this heart of Steinway. Franky's Souvlaki will soon be moving into a food truck, with twice as much room for twice as much souvlaki. 

Huge choices of meat, in any kind of sandwich or skewer (try the chicken skewers, seriously). 

With the new upgrade we'll surely be getting a lot more of Franky.
