Greek Film Festival Kicks Off At Museum of the Moving Image!

Tis the season for some hella good Greek movies at the Museum of the Moving Image.

Kicking off its ninth annual series, the Museum of the Moving Image will be host to five new feature films, each reflecting the current renaissance in Greek cinema, for the New York City Greek Film Festival, from October the 2nd till the 11th.

 

On the silver screen:

 

Oct 2nd 7:30pm – A Family Affair (winner of the Best Documentary Award by the Hellenic Film Academy)

Oct 3rd 3:00pm – At Home (Featuring an amazing performance by Maria Kallimani) 

Oct 4th 4:30pm – Lovestruck (Winner of the 2015 Audience Award by the Hellenic Film Academy)

Oct 4th 7:00pm – Stratos: Little Fish (A film with undertones of the current Greek financial crisis)

Oct 11th 3:00pm – Little England (Award winning period drama from Director Pantelis Voulgaris)

 

So come down and enjoy some Greek cinema in the only place made for it, Astoria
