Hey Astorians!

 

The summer is most certainly here, and it looks like it’s here to stay. So what better way to cool down, then with a nice cold beer at the only place to enjoy a little outside fun in the sun, the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden.

Fast and friendly service, great environment and a selection of awesomely cool beers with plenty of food choices to pick from.

The casual atmosphere really puts you at ease in the Beer Garden. Straight away you know you’re somewhere you can relax, meet new people, scoff down a mug, or a pitcher, and fill up on some tasty cuisine.

 

Weekends you usually see live music, and the place gets pretty packed, but I guess that’s a good thing, since it’s a staple in Astoria.

With over fifteen types of draft beers, you won’t be running out of options. Some of my picks; Angry Orchard, Hoegaarden (with no real bitter aftertaste), and Schofferhofer (Grapefruit Beer, for the sweeter tooth).

If you care to wash the beer down with some food, try the Czech options. Roasted duck with dumplings is fantastically seasoned.

Or you could order from the grill. For a few of you, I’d recommend the Bohemka Party Mix Grill, consisting of assorted grill of Klobasa, Bratwurst, Grilled Mushroom & Ribs served with sauerkraut, crispy pickles and French fries.

For non beer drinkers, there is also a nice wine list to choose from.

 

Either way, whatever your pick, there’s one major reason the Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden gets my, and Astorias vote………..It’s a place to come and relax. Family, friends new and old, laughs and great service.

So if you find yourself hating the heat, and wanting to chill a little, then grab a few friends and have a mug in the Garden.
