Looks like our holiday plans might be getting a little soggy.

Winter Storm Cato has taken claim of the East Coast, and it might put a damper on your Thanksgiving – especially if you’re traveling. In a statement released Tuesday night, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced traffic restrictions to begin Wednesday morning; Starting at 7 a.m. local time, commercial traffic will be banned on I-84 from Connecticut to Pennsylvania and long tandem vehicles will be banned on multiple parts of the New York State Thruway.

It’s also expected to continue raining and snowing, as it has been all day. According to the NWS, the rain should turn into flurries around 11 p.m tonight, an continue on until 6 a.m. We’ll most likely wake up to between 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow morning.

The weather is causing lots of flight delays and cancellations: As of this morning, 10 flights were cancelled out of JFK and 34 out of LGA.  LGA GM Tom Brosco said “If your flight does get canceled and you find yourself an unexpected guest at the airport, we are going to do everything we can (to help).”

So, stay warm, Astoria, and enjoy your day tomorrow! We hope your plans don’t get too disrupted.!
