The event was put together by Ashley Dean, who, under the title of Queen of Astoria, is aiming to bring awesome events and social gatherings to the community. Yesterday’s event was the first in what looks to be a new series, and there was an awesome turn out.

About 60 locals came out to Tantra Lounge, which serves as Waltz-Astoria half the week. Scuba Squad was spinning tunes, and everyone enjoyed free ice cream as they danced, mingled and had fun.

Councilman Costa Constantinides was even in attendance!

Ashley said, “The outcome of the event was a lot of positive feedback regarding the event and the sponsorship. Many party goers were interested in Waltz and Give Me Astoria’s mission as well as my plans for Queen of Astoria.
