This years East River Kiwanis Food Drive for Hour Children proved quite the success.

The Drive was held on Saturday November 21st, at Best Yet Marketplace Supermarket on 37th Street between 19th and 20th ave, who also partnered with East River Kiwanis once again. There, the community could come and donate food for the needy children, along with donations, and that's exactly what they did!

The truck for all the food ended up being filled, and enough money was raised from donations that 5 Turkeys with all the fixings were purchased for the families. It was truly Thanksgiving for a lot of children. 

It certainly was a wonderful day, and the East River Kiwanis, along with Hour Children and everyone else that participated were nothing but smiles thanks to the awesome community of Astoria.
