If you didn’t know, we have a super cool local distillery – The Astoria Distilling Company, founded by local Chris Murillo. Chris has been brewing up ‘Queens Courage’ gin, and it’s been a hit. Here’s how the Astoria Distilling Company describes Queens Courage:

Queens Courage is a New York Old Tom style gin that is lighter than Dutch genever, more full-bodied than London Dry, and has a natural subtle sweetness. Astoria Park Wine and Spirits is one of our favorite local spots for good alcohol – one member of the Give Me Astoria team is adamant on never going anywhere else for his drinks. Owned by Amanda Allensworth and around since 2011, the store has a great staff who is well versed and always offers a good suggestion if you don’t know what you’re in the mood for. They carry more than 300 brands – many of which are local or affordable. They also have a great rewards program – because who doesn’t like to be rewarded for drinking?
