Art Strong NYC was founded by Ashley Cavadas and Hannah Lokken, friends and colleagues who met while pursuing their Masters in Art Education at Columbia University. They’ve been pursuing Art Strong NYC part time at Culture Lab Studios for four years while working as Art Teachers in New York City schools. Ashley & Hannah wanted to bring more art education to the neighborhood after noticing a lack of opportunities for local children and families. “One thing we find really special about what we do at Art Strong is our process based way of teaching. We find this creates unique and meaningful artwork that children are proud of.” says Art Strong Co Founder, Ashley Cavadas.

Limited space remains for Art Strong NYC’s Summer Camp running from July 5th-September 3rd. Art Strong is also booking birthday parties and registration is now open for an after school program starting in September. In the Fall they will offer weekly classes for ages 18 months to adults and many other fun community events. “We are so excited and proud to see our dream becoming a reality. We can’t wait to welcome the community and make art together.” says Art Strong Co-Founder Hannah Lokken.
