Chef Rocco Sacramone, the owner and mind behind Astoria favorite Trattoria L’Incontro, has set up a GoFundMe to support workers during the COVID-19 crisis.
After 21 years in business, Trattoria L’Incontro was forced to lay off nearly its entire staff of 35 employees following the mandate for all restaurants to shut down. Sacramone established the GoFundMe to assist his staff financially during this trying time, with a goal of raising $200,000. All proceeds will be given to those affected by the layoff, according to the GoFundMe.
