Police Looking For Astoria Citibank Robber

Police are after a man who jumped over the security glass at a Citibank counter in Astoria and stole cash, getting away on Thursday morning.

The suspect, a young man sporting a black hooded sweater and bandanna across his face, entered the Citibank located on Steinway St around 9AM. He quickly jumped the service counter.

Then he jumped over the security glass and demanded money, telling employees that he was armed.

However the suspect was not actually carrying a weapon. The employees gave over an unknown amount to the suspect before he fled eastbound on 28th Avenue.

The suspect looked hispanic or white and was approximately 5 feet and 7 inches tall.
