El Boqueron – A Spanish Must

In a place where Greek food thrives, it’s always nice to find a bit of Spanish to brighten up the palate. And sitting down in this corner quaint and picturesque restaurant really does let you feel that Spanish vibe.

There’s always such a pleasure found when looking down on a plate that’s filled with vibrant colors, and even more of a pleasure when you take a bite and realize that the taste is just as vibrant.

A family restaurant that stands the test of time, it’s a place where anyone can come in and enjoy themselves on any level. The atmosphere is lovely, to say the least. The walls are adorned with beautiful paintings and wine features, while the seating is plentiful yet intimate enough for the special someone to enjoy. It’s actually quite the contrast from the outside, which to be honest does look just a little tacky – although when meeting the people here and experiencing El Boqueron, it just adds to the character.

The service is fantastic and friendly to a T. Nothing but smiles as the music gently whispers through the conversations.

When it comes to the food, we have a winner.

Serving some classic Iberian-style dishes, the Sangria is definitely pouring. Paella Valenciana, Marinera or Negra, Lobster Croquettes, Mussels, Portobello Mushroom with thinly sliced cured meat and cheese, Calamari, Tripe and so much more that we’d just rather you have a great night out.

Needless to say we were quite happy with our selection, and the Spanish style coffee at the end was the cherry on top to a fantastic evening.
