At 2:20PM on Thursday, an 11 year old boy was walking along 21st Avenue and 43rd Street when a man suddenly came up behind him. 

The boy was taking by surprise when the suspect put his arm around his shoulder and tried to grab the boy's phone from his pocket. 

The man, described as white with dyed red hair, quickly fled the scene when the boy resisted. 

The suspect, according to police, is 5 foot 6 inches tall and weighs around 200 pounds. Thankfully, the boy did not get hurt in the incident.
