After closing their doors in May for a complete renovation and extension, Sanfords Restaurant has finally finished.

And it looks, amazing!

Open metal beams with brick filling, wooden walls with small rectangular mirrors randomly placed, and one extremely impressive bar. Sanfords is back with true Astoria force.

The new space consists of a dining area, able to fit around 25 people and the refurbished original diner style spot able to fit 45. Plus the bar, capacity will be at 100.  And speaking of the bar, it’s enough to make any whiskey enthusiast drool.

Stocked full of around 300 whiskeys and over 150 bourbons, it glows heavenly golden with a hard white marbled counter and large glass designed lights.

The menu for now is limited, but Astorians should expect the regulars, and the wine list has been expanded along with the decor.

For this week, Sanfords is only serving dinner, with breakfast and brunch coming later next week.

And this evening the celebrations start at 5pm and will go well into the night.
