There’s a New Monthly Film Festival Coming to Astoria!
For amateur and novice film makers alike, Framework Productions aims to help expand the platform for viewing: so that filmmakers can get their films viewed, but also get feedback from friends, family and audience members.
Katch will be providing the awesome space for the screenings, as well as drink specials for everyone that comes. Also, did we mention it’s free? Free to enter your film, and free to come to the event!
Selected film makers will be invited to give a 1-2 minute introduction of their film before it is shown. Screenings will begin at 8:00 pm but people are encouraged to arrive early and get a place to sit and have a good time before the screenings begin.
SO! If you’re interested, here are the guidelines:
– All films must be under ten minutes long.
– E-mail links to a digital version of your film must be submitted by 11:59 pm on June 30th. (YouTube, Vimeo, or Dropbox).
Once all entries are received, 10 films will be selected by a panel of industry professionals, and selected films will be contacted as soon as possible.
It seems pretty simple and straightforward, and we think it’ll be a cool place to hang out once a month – drinking some good beer and watching some good films. We’re looking forward to it!
