Original Post:

Well, it looks like Astoria’s crime is taking an interesting turn.

A man robbed Santander bank on Broadway yesterday, with nothing but a note…and a wheelchair.

At around 2:00 p.m. the man wheeled into the Broadway location, and handed the teller a note. We’re guessing it was a really convincing note.

The suspect was then handed $1,212 by the teller, and quickly made his getaway – as quickly as you can make a getaway on a wheelchair.

No word yet on any arrests made. If you have any information, please reach out to the NYPD tips line.
