Juuz Me, A Healthy Must For Astorians

This health centric quaint little spot is located on 19-23 Ditmars Blvd and is a blast to visit. Stepping inside, there isn’t any grand designs or extravagant themes. It’s simple. And in its own simplistic way, full of character. Mostly due to the people behind the bar.

Cute little signs adorn a few walls. Wooden benches and refashioned stools to sit on give it a warmth to its already warm orange glow. You’ll see sweet little pillows, bags of lemons, old school Pepsi cola freezers and even a sack or two hanging off the wall.

Owners and Cofounders of Juuz Me, Zsolt (George) Csonka and Adolf (Ady) Botar, are every bit the enthusiasm this place makes you feel. Or you might just run into a smiling woman behind the counter who will prepare one of the best smoothies you’ll have.

According to their website, both owners were inspired by their friends and family, who wanted to sustain a healthy, on the go – lifestyle. This transferred itself to the two partners who took the idea, along with their own perspective on healthy and affordable cuisine, and opened up Juuz Me.

The menu isn’t overly big, but the quality, the freshness and the love behind it, is what makes Juuz Me a must for any health conscious foody.

The quality at Juuz Me is pretty good, and the freshness is a match for most healthcentric restaurants in New York. The menu, although quite small, is prepared daily, and handmade. Panini’s served with delicious bread not only crunch with the first bite, but melt with the following. Just how we like a good panini. Or you can grab a snack on the go. Perhaps a bag of Chia energy cookies, made with coconut oil, raisins, chia seeds, raw oats.
